Great place to take your pets. The staff is so kind and friendly. They genuinely love the animals. Dr Gilbert explained everything and answered all of my questions and concerns. She is very gentle, very patient and treated my fur baby the way I treat her.

Our black labrador retriever was extremely well taken care of by Gratiot Animal Hospital veterinarians every single person in the office cared about his health and our mental health on what was going on with him. We felt very confident, leaving our fur baby in their hands. I would highly recommend Gratiot Animal Hospital to any pet owner. They always take such excellent care of our furbabies!
My words are not enough to convey how great Gratiot Animal Hospital is! My pups have been patients of both Dr Dwight and Ryan McNally and Dr Mielke for years. The entire staff, aides, techs and office staff are also incredible and welcoming. My pups have received nothing but outstanding care and treatments, with incredible accuracy. The care, compassion and understanding when treating unfortunate end of life emergencies and euthanasia is also second to none. I’ll always be grateful for the outstanding care and compassion provided to me and my pups in these difficult times in our lives. They also are incredible in understanding and treating special needs pups and they go out of their way in accommodating. I’m both blessed and relieved that they are and have always been there for me and my pups. Nothing but respect, appreciation and gratitude to all in this fine organization!
Had an emergency on a Friday afternoon with my 14-year-old Pekingese dachshund Daphne. She was having a severe case of pancreatitis and my vet was not open and Dr. Ryan McNally took care of her. The office staff understood my dilemma and made sure I got in and got wonderful care from everyone. I am forever grateful for them fitting me in at the last moment during a very stressful time for me.
Both my fur babies love the treatment from all the staff there. And it makes me feel comfortable knowing they are going to be very well taken care of. Gratiot Animal Hospital is the best!

Highly recommend! I’ve gone to Gratiot Animal Hospital for nearly 3 years with my golden retriever and always have a wonderful experience, even on the phone. My dog gets extremely anxious when we visit and it’s usually chaotic getting him in and out the door, but the staff are consistently welcoming and understanding — which helps put me at ease. I appreciate how the veterinarians take their time with explanations and answering my (often many) questions. I feel they genuinely care about him and it is what keeps us coming back!
My dog is stubborn and would not get out car. So Dr Ryan came out to see her and was very informative on her condition. Thank you for coming to see her. She is feeling better. ????????????
Want to thank Dr. Gilbert for making time to see my Baxter. As this is become no surprise to me after being a client of yours for over 25 years. The treatment she prescribed seems to be working , My boy is doing a lot better. When it comes to my fur babies i wouldn't think of taking them any where else . keep up the good work.

I have been bringing my pets here since I moved to Saginaw in 1996. Dr. Gilbert is the best! And when I tell my dog she’s going to see Heather she jumps right in the car eager to go!

Outstanding Service and care. We had to put our girl to sleep and used Gratiot Animal Hospital because our vet would not accommodate the appointment. It was an emergency situation, and they got my girl in within the hour. Very happy with how they treated us/her and I have transferred the care of my other dog to them as well. Highly recommend.
I’m writing this review while actually in the office with my little prince, Echo. The office squeezed us in for a follow up after our first appointment with a steroid injection didn’t kick whatever he’s got going on. I am so grateful that we were worked in, even on a busy after holiday work day and the staff has been phenomenal, even with the emergent workload they have. To me, it says so much that even when our guy doesn’t feel good, he’s relaxed enough here, to fall asleep on their scale. We’re still here, waiting patiently because they are worth it, and because they value our fur babies as much as we do ♥️
We love Gratiot animal hospital. Dr Ryan McNally is always so patient with our many questions and takes the time to explain things at just the right level. The love that he has for animals is obvious. He is also understanding and supportive of our desire to avoid chemicals when possible and use natural remedies, which makes it easy to trust him when he does advise something that isn’t natural. The front desk staff is always awesome and gracious even when our pup comes in sounding like a fire alarm. We’re so glad we found such an awesome place to help us care for our pups and cat!
